Coffee capsules

The best coffee capsules depend on how you like to drink your coffee. Some are designed for short, intense espresso, while others are better suited for longer or smoother drinks. At L’OR, capsules are crafted to match different preferences, from bold and powerful to balanced and aromatic.

If you’re looking for versatility, L’OR Classic capsules are the best all-round choice, offering a wide range of blends for espresso and lungo. For larger coffees, L’OR BARISTA XXL capsules are the ideal option, designed to deliver more coffee in every cup.

The best espresso capsules are those designed for short extraction and higher intensity. L’OR offers a range of espresso and ristretto capsules that deliver rich crema, full body and concentrated flavour.

L’OR capsules are rated on an intensity scale from 5 to 13, helping you choose the strength that suits your taste. For espresso, capsules with medium to high intensity (7–13) are typically the best choice, as they provide a more pronounced flavour and a longer-lasting finish.

If you prefer strong coffee, choose capsules with a higher intensity level on the L’OR scale (5–13). This scale reflects the strength, body and roast of the coffee.

• Intensity 5–7: lighter, more balanced coffees

• Intensity 8–10: fuller body with more depth

• Intensity 11–13: bold, powerful and more intense flavour

For a stronger experience, choose capsules like Ristretto (11), Onyx (12) or Ultimo (13), which are designed to deliver a deeper taste and a more persistent finish.

Choosing the right capsule starts with how you like your coffee.

• For espresso and short drinks: choose Classic capsules

• For longer coffees or larger cups: choose XXL capsules

• For milk-based drinks: choose more intense capsules to maintain flavour

Classic capsules are best for everyday coffee, while XXL capsules are ideal when you want more coffee in a single cup.

Each L’OR capsule is designed with a specific flavour profile and intensity level, helping you choose the right coffee capsules for your taste.

• Low intensity: lighter, more aromatic coffees

• Medium intensity: balanced flavour and body

• High intensity: stronger, more persistent taste

L’OR’s flavour profiles range from fruity and floral to nutty, chocolatey and roasted, allowing you to explore different coffee experiences depending on your mood and preference. Learn more about the different ranges of L'OR coffee capsules.
