How to prepare a coffee with L'OR BARISTA?
Preparing an espresso, lungo, or ristretto with your L'OR BARISTA is very easy. With just the press of a button, you can enjoy premium espresso from our specially designed coffee capsules.
Simply select your desired coffee size and enjoy it almost immediately. The machine automatically recognizes the capsule size and adjusts the amount of water accordingly.
Set the correct height
Adjust the drip tray to suit your beverage choice. Leave it at the standard setting for small cups meant to hold espressos and ristrettos. For tall glasses or mugs intended to hold long black coffees or milk-based beverages, remove the drip tray lid, remove the deeper drip tray, then replace the lid at a lower level.
Enhance your coffee experience
Coffee is best served hot. To get the most out of your tasting experience, preheat your cups and your machine before preparing your coffee. Simply press the espresso button without a capsule in the capsule compartment to dispense hot water into your cups. Wait a few seconds, empty the cups and then you can start brewing coffee.
Your perfect coffee
Do you like your coffee long or short? Here's how to set the ideal amount of water for your coffees. When making a coffee, press and hold the selected drink button (ristretto, espresso, or lungo) until it starts flashing. Release it and the coffee will start flowing. Press it again to stop the stream. The L'OR BARISTA® coffee maker will now use this as the preferred strength for this beverage.

How to change the water tank position of the L'OR BARISTA Absolu
Adjusting the water tank position on your L'OR BARISTA Absolu is easy. Begin by unplugging the machine and removing the drip tray, capsule bin, and used water bin. Once those are out of the way, gently empty the bins. Carefully place the machine on its side—using a towel underneath to avoid any scratches. Next, slide off the locking mechanism that holds the water tank connection in place.
With a gentle push, shift the connection about a centimetre outwards. Now, you can reposition the water tank in the direction that suits you best. Finally, secure everything by sliding the lock back into place. And just like that, your L'OR BARISTA Absolu is set up exactly how you want it.
How to use the Enjoy Over Ice function of the L'OR BARISTA Absolu
Craving a refreshing iced coffee? The L'OR BARISTA Absolu features a dedicated Enjoy Over Ice function designed to deliver a perfectly chilled coffee experience. Begin by ensuring there’s enough water in the tank. Fill a large glass with plenty of ice and place it beneath the spout. For the most flavourful result, opt for a L'OR BARISTA XXL capsule. Insert the capsule and press the snowflake button to activate the Over Ice setting.
The three cup size buttons will light up—just choose the one that suits your taste. This recipe takes a little longer to prepare and brews at a lower temperature than your usual coffee, creating a beautifully smooth and refreshing drink. All that’s left is to sip and enjoy the cool indulgence.
How to use the Intensity Boost function of the L'OR BARISTA Absolu
Fancy a bold, full-bodied coffee? The Intensity Boost function on the L'OR BARISTA Absolu is crafted to bring out the richest flavours in every cup. Start by checking there's enough water in the container. Then, choose your preferred capsule size and pop it into the machine. Press the coffee bean button to activate the Intensity Boost setting—this unlocks a more powerful brew.
Once the three volume buttons light up, select your desired cup size. In just a moment, your intense coffee will be ready. Thanks to a specialised brewing process, every sip is layered with depth and richness, delivering a truly elevated coffee experience.

The L'OR BARISTA® coffee machine was created to work with L'OR classic espresso capsules and L'OR BARISTA® double espresso capsules, as well as Nespresso®* capsules and most other compatible capsules, such as Café Royal®*, Carte Noire®, Grand'Mère®*, illy®*, Lavazza®*, Senseo®, and most supermarket brands.

How do I register my L'OR BARISTA® coffee machine?
To register your L'OR BARISTA® coffee machine, simply go to the registration page, create an account, and follow the registration steps. In particular, you will need to enter the serial number of your L'OR BARISTA® coffee machine. The serial number is printed on a self-adhesive label, at the top of the water tank, as well as under the machine. After registration, you will receive an email with your £20 coffee credit.
How long is the warranty for my L'OR BARISTA® coffee machine?
The warranty is 2 years from the date of purchase.
