To properly clean your L'OR BARISTA coffee machine on a daily basis, we recommend the following:
1. Remove the lower drip tray and rinse the drip tray and cup stand with lukewarm water.
2. Remove the used capsule drawer by pulling it upwards and empty it. Rinse all parts with lukewarm water and dry them using a soft cloth.

Weekly cleaning of your L'OR BARISTA machine
Your L'OR BARISTA needs weekly and monthly maintenance. A weekly quick clean will take you 2-3 minutes. After use, wipe your coffee machine with a soft, clean cloth.

Clean the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth.
Caution: Never use scouring pads, abrasive detergents, or harsh liquids such as gasoline or acetone to clean the machine.
Warning: Do not insert your finger into the capsule compartment to avoid injury. It contains an invisible pointed punch.

Clean the front of the machine with a soft, damp cloth, then clean the two parts of the coffee dispensing nozzle (the coffee nozzle units and the nozzle cover) with lukewarm water or in the dishwasher.

Clean the water tank by rinsing it under lukewarm running water. The water tank is not dishwasher safe. Rinse the water tank and refill it with fresh water every 24 hours.

Clean the interior every month to remove any coffee residue and ensure you get the best quality and best-tasting coffee.
Unplug your machine, remove all loose parts, then wash and rinse them. To start the internal cleaning cycle, please follow the instructions below:

Pop a cup under the coffee nozzle.

Lift the lever to drop the used capsule into the capsule bin.

Don’t insert a new capsule – just close the lever and press the lungo button.

Once the water’s run through, empty the cup.

Repeat steps 3 and 4 by lifting the lever and flushing the machine again – this gives the coffee circuit a good clean."
How often should I clean my coffee machine?
We recommend cleaning your L'OR BARISTA coffee machine weekly using lukewarm water and a soft cloth. Once a month, it’s important to clean the internal circuit to keep everything running smoothly. If your machine has a milk frother, be sure to clean it after each use. Descale your machine when needed—on the Original and Sublime models, the ristretto and lungo buttons (left and right) will blink after brewing. On the Absolu, the descaling light will stay on during use.
L'OR BARISTA cleaning and descaling instructions
You should descale your L'OR BARISTA machine around four times a year, depending on how often you use it. If you have a L'OR BARISTA Original or Sublime, the ristretto and lungo buttons (left and right buttons) will start blinking after brewing to indicate it’s time to descale. For the L'OR BARISTA Absolu, the descaling light will remain on during use. Regular descaling helps maintain the ideal coffee taste, temperature, and volume.
